Fall is here and I’m sure some of you are missing your sun kissed look and radiance from the summer sun. Like me, you liked looking bronzed and beautiful and you’re now wondering “how can I achieve the youthful glow during the fall”? With these techniques you can enhance that warm glow and extra shine!
Step 1: Set up an appointment with a dermatologist or aesthetician to help you develop a daily routine to work on any breakouts, fine lines and dullness your skin may have. Facials every 4 to 6 months removes dead skin cells leaving the skin radiant.
Step 2: Moisturize daily – Moisturizer is crucial! When you skip out on moisturizer, your skin “kicks in” and tells your body to make oil to moisturize your skin. This is not they type of moisturizer we had in mind, right? Foundation will not go on smooth and can leave a “flaky” appearance that I assure you do not want. I suggest you pick up an oil-free moisturizer which will help keep your face both hydrated and a smooth.
Step 3: Exfoliate – You should exfoliate once or twice a week depending on your skin type. This will give you smooth, glowing skin! It help remove all unwanted dead skin cells you may have. Exfoliants do not have to be harsh. Don’t think more is better. Products with enzymes, retinol or a mild glycolic acid will do the trick. If you like the physical exfoliators, use a buffing brush like Clarisonic or use a product with polishing beads.
Step 4: Skin Tone – If you have dark spots or redness, a good remedy is Intense Pulsed light (IPL) therapy to reduce discoloration. If IPL is out of your budget, then invest in a good BB cream and your skin will appear more uniform under foundation. Some BB creams come tinted so concealing and foundation are all in one!
Step 5: Facial Masks – Think of a facial mask a super charge for your skin. A hydrating mask will bring moisture back to cells that give the appearance of a raisin instead of a plump grape!
I hope these tips were helpful!

Airbrush or Traditional Makeup Application?
As a professional makeup artist in the industry, I get this question quite often…”What’s the difference between airbrush makeup and traditional makeup?” The answer is BIG! When you’re having your makeup done professionally for an occasion, such as a wedding, your picture is going to be taken countless times for numerous hours, airbrush makeup is the answer to your prayers.
Airbrush makeup comes as water based, alcohol based or silicone based. Water based has a matte finish and silicone based has a dewy finish. Alcohol based is generally used for tattoo coverage and not flattering to the face. In my experiences, I have found that all formulas last approximately 14 hours, is sweat proof and can be relatively waterproof. Airbrush makeup goes on with an air compressor which, when done correctly, should not appear “cakey” or heavy and should leave a flawless finish. In fact, many of my clients have said that it doesn’t even feel like they are wearing makeup. Check out the gallery of photos on www.TeamBeauti.com – the majority of those girls have been airbrushed.
Traditional makeup is your typical liquid foundation. It’s applied with the artists’ fingers, sponge or brush. The application, regardless of technique, tends to have a heavier feel and look. It has a lasting power of approximately 8 hours and most brands are not sweat proof or waterproof. In fact, many brands of traditional makeup have an SPF which does not photograph well. It often leaves the subject looking “pasty” or “ghost-like”.

Airbrush Makeup for Model
Team Beauti and its reputation speaks for itself. With 20 talented professionals, we can provide our services to all the “brides to be” in South Florida!
Read this email sent to us from Elaine, our 4/26/14 bride:
First, Ashley Davis, Team Beauti Hair Stylist – she’s amazing! She is the consummate hair professional never losing her cool. She was patient and kind and awesome. I LOVED how my hair design looked and felt on my wedding day. The first pull back we tried didn’t look right and she didn’t miss a beat keeping me comfortable and assured. Looking back at my engagement pictures, I know why I was so confident with Ashley. She’s terrific.
Next, Mary Bruggeman, Team Beauti Hair Stylist – Mary was meant to be with us. We had a medical emergency, as you know – my young niece had a seizure early Saturday morning. Mary shared her personal connection and kept us calm and hopeful. She was an angel and I was grateful she was there. Mary did my sister Amy’s hair and other nieces. She was kind and compassionate and talented. She and Ashley smartly advised us when we wondered if Amy’s early curls were too curly – by the end of the night Amy’s waves were super and sexy. Amy’s gorgeous hair style added to her stunning beauty.
And what could I say about Deb Hoefl, Team Beauti Makeup Artist – no wonder she’s your best friend. She was simply the best! All three of us – my mom, my sister, and me – felt stunning!! Deb was the beating heart of our time together. We were radiant because of Deb. Her radiance came with us all night.
I loved Team Beauti, loved getting to know you, and absolutely look forward to recommending your services again.
Hope to see you soon,
Proud of the team I have created!
Many of our brides come to us for their trial not knowing if they want lashes the day of their wedding. Many of our brides are very “natural” gals and haven’t tried on false eyelashes ever! Let me just say….”That is what trials are for.” Trials are meant to “try” things that you have never tried before or even thought you would want to try.
Many of the photographers that refer Team Beauti to their brides LOVE it when the bride is willing to wear false eyelashes on the wedding day. The difference it makes is amazing. No matter how full or long your natural lashes are, false lashes add an extra boost that photographs beautifully.
There are many different types of eyelash bands to choose from so when you have your trial, ask the artist to see what she has to offer. Some are very natural, some add volume, some add length and some do all the above! When applied properly, no one but you will know you’re even wearing them. It’s also a good idea to tell your makeup artist to use the waterproof glue that is available in the event that you might cry on your wedding day. If you’re one who likes dramatic/glamorous eyes, companies such as MAC make eyelash bands that can go on your bottom lashes as well to give them a boost!
When you have time, look at our photos on Team Beauti’s web site or Facebook page. Majority of the brides are wearing lashes…can you tell?
